Sticking Together

This collection of three solo pieces for vibraphone is characterised by a predominantly calm and introspective character.

All three pieces are fully notated and avoid improvisational sections. Subtly applied damping techniques allow for a nuanced approach to sustained sound, making it possible to shape and clarify dense sonic textures.

The pieces are conceived as intimate solo works that encourage attentive listening and a sensitive approach to sound. The focus is not on technical virtuosity, but on shaping long lines, balancing resonance, and integrating the natural sustain of the vibraphone as an essential element of the musical form.
