Alle Jahre Vibra

Alle Jahre Vibra brings together six Austrian and German Christmas carols in arrangements for solo vibraphone in a relaxed, jazz-influenced style.

Each arrangement includes a lead sheet with melody, form, and chord symbols, allowing for a flexible and practical approach to the pieces.

In addition, each carol includes a fully notated solo as an option — for those who prefer not to improvise or who are looking for further ideas for their own interpretation. These solos are transcriptions of the improvisations recorded on the album Alle Jahre Vibra by the author.

Stylistically, the six pieces explore a wide range of characters and deliberately move beyond the traditional image of the Christmas carol as a purely contemplative genre. The original melodies remain clearly recognisable, while the arrangements invite a playful, rhythmically open, and contemporary approach to familiar material.
