Dinner for Two

This collection for solo vibraphone offers a wide range of interpretative freedom.

Each of the three pieces includes an improvisational section; fully notated example improvisations are provided in the appendix for guidance.

The pieces are conceived more as loosely structured jazz or pop songs than as strictly through-composed works. Subtle alterations to the written material are therefore not only acceptable but encouraged — particularly in the accompaniment patterns. The notation should be understood as a snapshot of a musical moment rather than a fixed, definitive version.

The edition invites performers to engage actively with form, sound, and timing, allowing the music to evolve naturally through interpretation and improvisation.
