Blue Monk

Blue Monk is a detailed transcription of a performance by Gary Burton and Makoto Ozone, taken from the album Face to Face.

Within this series, Blue Monk is the most immediately accessible transcription. The clear form, moderate tempo, and transparent interaction between vibraphone and piano make it well suited as an entry point into the duo transcriptions, while still offering enough detail for in-depth study and performance.
